It's very thoughtful that someone who decides to park in the bike lane went out and got paramedic training first, so as to better help any cyclists for whom they caused accidents.
This ambulance was parked here (outside Starbucks) for at least 12 minutes -- they were there when I went by at 11:30, and were still there (with no one inside the vehicle) at 11:42.

What about bikes that ride down the middle of the street? or dont stop for red lights? or ride on sidewalks. Its your bikelane, but share the street and share in the safety. Drive defensively like motorcyclists, not with the sense of privliged arrogance you show here.

Your kidding me, right? Like this guy said; there are too many pretentious, arrogant, and self-entitled bicyclists who ride dangerously. And EMT's are there to save your life. Their driving all over the city, usually posting some where in a truck any where from 8 to 12 hours a day. Sometimes they need someplace to stop and get a coffee so they can stay alert, instead of making a turn while you run a red light into the side of their truck. They also don't have the time to find a parking spot like other people because (drum roll please) they could get an emergency at any moment saving your grandmother in the nursing home! Or even better, when your father starts having chest pain, they have to go! Like, right now type of go!
Do all of us a favor and get off of your high horse and give the EMT's (cops and firefighters too, they also get a call at a moments notice to protect you and your loved ones) a break.

Don't ambulances there have to show flashing lights when ignoring the rules of the road? Merely being an emergency vehicle doesn't give them any special exemption.
And yeah, yeah, there are bad bikes too. Feel free to set up a website of videos of bad bikes. They need shaming into stopping too.
